Day 12 and 13
We left Oporto on the 12th at 19:55 by the Czech Airlines. We had to do the check in at the aiport because it wasn't available at the internet.
We could take a carry-on until 8 kg and a bag pack.
The voyage to Prague took 3 hours. Bring something to do..
We arrived at midnight local time and 23:00 in portugal.
Because we
had to wait until 9.55 am to the flight to Bucarest we book a room in the Hostel Mordra 7 min from airport by car, and a lot by foot.
We fought it was closer by foot and we started walking but at the end we caught a bus. Because we fought we could buy tickets with the driver we enter, but he did not listen to us or did not understand english we went free. Attention don't do this because there are supervisors
You have to buy tickets on the vending
machines and catch a bus in front of terminal 2 direction terminal 3 where
the hostel is.
This hostel was a sleeping place for pilots that was renewed. Its
very... Very simple and sovietic like, don't expect luxury...
So he had 4 hours of sleep . We woke at 6 AM. Took a bath and some quick breakfast at our room and we checked out. The ticket vending machine is just at the entrance of he hostel.
Two tickets are 2 euros.
You have exchange money or in this case we asked the front desk to exchange us
10 euros that are about 200 and something crowns.
The terminal 3 bus station stop is very near the hostel. We
caught the 109 bus to terminal 1 airport.
When we arrived we hadnt made the check
in online because we couldnt we had to do it in the gate.
Then we had the normal security
procedures.
Now we are flying and very pleased with
this company (Romania airlines). They offered a sandwich a cookie a drink and coffee or tea... Who
does that in low cost mode..
We arrived at the airport and the first
thing is to exchange money. There are many exchange stations. If you are
pratical you will exchange at once. 200 euros wil give you 810 Roman lei.
To get to Brasov you have to go down to
the arrivals floor and straigth ahead to the auto park. You cross the park and
you several buses, Well mini buses. You pay for each person 70 lei.
The voyage started at 14.00 local time
ROMANIA is a very beautiful country. You
just see sunflowers , cereals plantations, green , flowers and piles of water
melons.
The road is a national one its
incredible straigth. You see planted outside the houses plum trees on the side
walk and people catch them to eat..
What a simple and wonderful idea-

When we arrived at the mountains....
Woww.. Such beauty.... Its very beautiful and Romania people were enjoyng the
sunshine outside in green meadowns that existed on the hills
There were a lot of open spaces here and there at the mountains, green
meadows and romanians were the picniking in lots of them.
After 3 hours we arrived at Brasov at
the Car park of the Aro Palace Hotel . From here to the main square aparments was
just a 5 minutes walk.
Do you know one thing?
Looking at the faces of romenians
it was almost as we were in portugal. They seem portuguese or spanish. Of
course there are russian like faces but the mix was very similar.
Ok we arrived at the main square
apartments we pushed the big wood door of number 21 and followed the arrow to
te reception.
We did the check in ...went to an amazing
apartment with a view to the white tower
We rest a while and went for a first walk .
On the way we noticed bakeries selling
goodies and we did not resist for 10 lei we had 2 slices of pizza and a
chocolat ring call covrigi.
First stop... white tower to see the
village.
The idea was just to get to know the
historical center and later see with more detail.
Near the main square to eat you have the
normal things... KFC, Macdonalds .. And other local restaurants.. Also you have
lots of markets where you can buy your groceries.
We went to buy groceries at the market of the Billa chain
So we returned to te apartment left the
groceries and went to the KFC to eat, because we were to tired
The day was already long and it was time
to sleep
